The World Health Organization stated that between 2015 and 2050, the proportion of the world’s population over 60 years old will nearly double from 12% to 22% and that by 2020, that age group will outnumber children younger than 5.
A longer life brings with it opportunities for these individuals and their families. However, the extent of their opportunities will depend solely on their health. That’s where medical staff comes in, along with the need for more people to enter the medical field in the not-so-distant future.
The field of medicine is boundless, offering careers that will not only fulfill personally, due to its many rewards, but also financially. Working in the health care field provides well, and that likely will continue as the need for educated professionals increases.
Stacy Bayne, operations manager with Kudzu Medical in Greenville, has seen the greater need for medical staff firsthand. She is a nurse and has worked in the health care field for over 25 years.
“There is definitely a shortage,” she said. “It is becoming more important than ever before as people age and their need for health care grows.”
She also noted that right now, unemployment is low, which in turn, adds to the shortage of medical staff.
Kudzu Medical will help individuals find the job they desire in the medical field, but they also assist doctors’ offices, long-term care facilities and a variety of other medical entities in hiring a full staff of qualified employees. Their team of professional recruiters matches the most qualified candidates available to fit the client’s needs.
“We work with HR professionals to guarantee a seamless hiring process,” Bayne explained. “So many companies are worn thin with the amount of responsibilities they have on their plate. We can work with them to alleviate the stress of hiring.”
Kudzu Medical uses a rigorous hiring protocol, and all candidates must complete an extensive checklist including items such as a resume, multistate, nationwide and DSS background checks, 10-panel drug test screen, area-specific competency exams, DHEC requirements and more.
Kudzu Medical is dedicated to providing exceptional staffing services for its clients. They take their responsibility seriously, and it shows in the dedication to their clients and the community as a whole.
“We like to volunteer for client functions, community events and donate to their causes. We may go decorate at a long-term care facility for the holidays or donate candy to a trunk or treat a client is hosting. We recently donated to the American Cancer Society in October for breast cancer awareness. For our client in Greenville County that specializes in addiction treatment, we brought breakfast to the staff at the residential treatment center for women with children because October is their staff appreciation month. We also presented them with a new portable DVD player. It was on their wish list for clients. It allows the clients to watch movies that have therapeutic value and keeps them engaged in their recovery, even when they are sick and unable to participate,” Bayne said.
And with their parent company, Kudzu Staffing, they volunteer for the Pickens County Meals on Wheels.
“We have a set route we deliver to every Wednesday, and all of us in the office rotate taking that,” she said.
Whether an individual is in search of that perfect job in the medical field or a medical facility needs assistance with hiring, Kudzu Medical can help.
